Ukrainian Scholars Need Your Support.

The Board of Directors of the American Friends of POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews ask for your support in helping Ukraine Scholars.

POLIN Museum is raising funds to give 12-month fellowships for Ukrainian scholars, affected by the war, through our Global Education Outreach Program (GEOP).

The fellowships are for Ukrainian scholars studying any aspect of Eastern European Jewry in any discipline, including history, language and literature, cultural studies, music, art history, museology, and memory studies, among others. Applicants will be must Ukrainian citizens who were residents in Ukraine at the time of the invasion.

GEOP Fellowships for Ukrainian Scholars is one of several ways that POLIN Museum is supporting those affected by the war in Ukraine.

Ukrainian refugees are warmly welcomed at the museum, which has been offering workshops and tours in Ukrainian. One of GEOP’s doctoral seminar participants, a PhD candidate at the Polish Academy of Sciences, is offering guided tours of our Core Exhibition tailored for Ukrainian visitors.

POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews is an institution of public history. As such, it serves as a bridge between the academy and the public. Our Global Education Outreach Program plays a vital role in this regard in times of peace and now in times of war.

Please support our efforts to meet the needs of Ukrainian scholars at risk. Your contribution would be deeply appreciated.
