Mazel Tov Ambassador Deborah E. Lipstadt!

Mazel Tov Ambassador Deborah E. Lipstadt from the Board of Directors of the American Friends of POLIN Museum for being sworn in as U.S. Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism.  She was sworn in on May 24, 2022, by Vice President Kamala Harris. Ambassador Lipstadt took the oath on a copy of the “U.S. Army Talmud,” printed in the U.S. Zone of Allied-occupied Germany in 1948 on behalf of Holocaust survivors housed in displaced persons camps, as well as a Book of Psalms that belonged to her mother.  The Board of Directors hopes to welcome the Ambassador at the POLIN Museum and share with her the museum’s work on current issues on antisemitism and the upcoming commemoration for the 80th Anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.
