Statement of American Friends of POLIN Museum Concerning the Antisemitic Conduct of MP Grzegorz Braun
We categorically denounce the antisemitic conduct of MP Grzegorz Braun at the Polish Parliament this week.
There is absolutely no excuse, no justification whatsoever, for this blatant expression of hate.
The right to freedom of expression must always face limits when said freedom leads to actions that restrict the rights of others or persecute or otherwise harm them.
We trust that the rule of law will prevail, and that Mr. Braun will not only lose all his parliamentary privileges but also be appropriately tried according to the principles of the judicial system.
We stand firmly with all those affected by this clear transgression against Jews, Jewish faith, and Jewish culture and hope that that they will find solace in that solidarity and in our assurance that we, as American Friends of POLIN Museum, we will do everything in our power to ensure that such acts are properly addressed to the fullest extent of the law.
