April 19, 2023, marks the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.

POLIN Museum will commemorate this anniversary with a year-long program on the theme “Thou Shalt Not Be Indifferent,” inspired by Marian Turski’s moving speech on the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz Birkenau.

A centerpiece of the program is Around Us a Sea of Fire, a temporary exhibition dedicated to the experience of civilians in the Warsaw Ghetto during the Uprising. POLIN Museum will organize the 11th annual Daffodils Campaign, which raises awareness of the Uprising and its significance, in Poland and the United States. There will be international academic conferences, debates, lectures, and performances, as well as workshops for teachers. Learn more about the program.
