WILHELM SASNAL - "SUCH A LANDSCAPE"

A new exhibition of the work of Wilhelm Sasnal, an outstanding contemporary Polish artist, opened 17 June 2021.

This exhibition explores the pervasive presence of the Holocaust in the Polish landscape, hidden in plain view. Sasnal’s work raises several critical questions. What can artists contribute to historical awareness and moral reckoning? How can “artistic truth” illuminate “historical truth”? This exhibition will be the first to present these paintings and drawings together in a Polish museum. They were created during the last two decades.
