"1945. Not the End, Not the Beginning" ! Exhibit Opens

On March 6, 2025, POLIN Museum opened "1945. Not the End, Not the Beginning”! exhibit.

With these words, POLIN Museum’s director Zygmunt Stępiński welcomed guests at the opening:

"It’s a story of Holocaust survivors, full of trauma, personal drama and loneliness, but also full of hope and fierce determination to rebuild a life amidst the rubble of the world that had been razed to the ground. The story is told from a Jewish perspective, thus restoring agency to a minority and revealing the complexity of one of the most crucial moments in the history of our country—a moment that forever changed its character, borders and population composition. This, I believe, is a step towards a better understanding of our shared history and, ultimately, towards focusing on things that we have in common rather than on those that divide us".

We encourage you to visit the exhibition, open daily except Tuesdays. For more information: "1945. Not the End, Not the Beginning" !
